sea surface temperature from September 17 to September 21

This sea surface height map of the Gulf of Mexico, with the Florida peninsula on the right and the Texas-Mexico Gulf Coast on the left, is based on altimeter data from four satellites including NASA's Topex/Poseidon and Jason. Red indicates a strong circulation of much warmer waters, which can feed energy to a hurricane. This area stands 35 to 60 centimeters (about 13 to 23 inches) higher than the surrounding waters of the Gulf.

ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

This website was acquired as Hurricane Rita approached the United States Gulf Coast as a monster hurricane. We figured  that this Hurricane would be an historic event and would be researched until the end of time. Since we are in the photo business already, we figured it would be appropriate to launch this and and a few  other Hurricane Rita photography related websites.

This site is an on-going photo-essay of the  progress of America's efforts in the Hurricane Rita rescue, relocation, relief, reconstruction and rebuilding efforts.

Our objective is to provide high quality Hurricane Rita images and imaging products to both the general public for viewing,  and  to the stock and print markets for  both publication or memory collections.

We take pride in  our on-screen web presentations and print products and strive to take care of your every need. We promise to continue to grow this site as the recovery efforts continue. Please contact us if you have any questions or information regarding anything you see on this site.
